So, how’s that New Year resolution to exercise more coming????
I bet you forgot all about it. It’s ok, we are human after all.
Here is your chance to remember for your body’s sake.
Try a Nia class! Combining dance, martial arts and mindfulness, Nia tones your body while transforming your mind. More than just a workout, Nia is a holistic fitness practice addressing each aspect of your life – body, mind and soul.
Nia is based on the intelligent design of the body. Each workout brings mindfulness to your dance movement experience leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced.
Nia cardio-dance workouts combine 52 simple moves with dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts to get you fit in 60 minutes – body, mind, emotion, and spirit.
Nia is non-impact, practiced barefoot, and adaptable to individual needs and abilities. Nia classes are taught by licensed Nia teachers.
Want to try Nia? Class on Thursday at 10:15am at MAGMA, 11 Pleasant St.
You may find MAGMA by either entering the building on the Pleasant St. side or via the Main St. entrance. The elevator is accessed by the Main St. door. Walk to the rear of the arcade and take the elevator to 5th floor and walk through the gymnastics space.

Join me tomorrow and try out this practice as we dance to the classic routine, AWAKE! All about how our spine moves. Here are a few links to some of the music in the routine.
Hope to see you and your spine in a class sometime soon!
