The summer we have all been waiting for is here!

This has been an amazing summer! Our camps are full of happy campers exploring new things like adventure courses, STEAM programs, paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking and more.  Being outside, having fun and reengaging with friends was just what they needed.

Our pools are filled with smiling swimmers learning the life skill of water safety and our wellness centers continue to be the essential places where members can safely stay active, healthy and connected.

We have met so many new families through our community outreach over the past year while we provided remote learning opportunities, emergency childcare, and other crucial  resources during the pandemic. We have been able to engage more individuals, children, and families and welcome them into our Y community.

More than ever before, we are clearly seen as more than our fitness centers, pools and programs. We are recognized as a critical resource for all in good times and in bad.  Your local Y is here to strengthen the community and meet vital needs.

We will never forget what it took to reopen responsibly so rest assured our staff is committed to your safety. We are vigilant in our efforts to keep our facilities clean and safe and dedicated to making your Y experience the best it can be.  We are truly all in this together.

Thank you for supporting our Y and for being part of our Y family.

Getting to know Harmeling PT

We’ve spent the last few weeks getting to know the staff of Harmeling PT’s Gloucester office. This week, we’re featuring clinic manager Scott Kulesa, MSPT! Chances are if you’ve been treated in our Gloucester office, you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Scott himself!

Scott is originally from Long Island, NY. He came to Massachusetts to attend Northeastern University to pursue his masters degree in physical therapy. He’s been with HPT since 2003, and has worked in and managed the Gloucester office since it opened in 2009.

Scott loves to spend his free time with his wife and 3 young children. Together they enjoy hiking, biking, traveling, and playing sports. He loves watching his kids play soccer, baseball, and flag football.

One of the things Scott loves most about working in Gloucester are all of the great Cape Ann residents he has met and treated over the past 12 years. He truly feels like he has become family with many of the patients that he’s seen for multiple issues over the years.

If you need to get set up for some physical therapy, make sure you give our Gloucester office a call at (978) 283-0888 and get set up for an evaluation!
