CBD Yoga session at Treetop

On Saturday November 2nd, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, we will be partnering up with Treetop Yoga to offer an informative CBD session followed by a Flow and Restore class lead by instructor Megan Ghirardi. We will start the class with a brief introduction to CBD history, benefits and uses, with the option to sample a full spectrum tincture before class begins. At the end of class, we will have a few different CBD balms to sample as well. This class is a 35$ investment. Feel free to pre-register by calling Treetop Yoga 978-282-9642.

Free CBD Seminar

This upcoming Sunday the 29th at 12:00pm we will be offering a free CBD seminar at our shop on 12 Roger’s Street in Gloucester. Here, you can learn about the process of cultivating CBD, different types of CBD products, and the general benefits associated with supplementing CBD. We will also be offering different samples of our products for you to try out! Feel free to come prepared with as many questions as you would like.

As we are a small shop, we will have limited seating with available standing room. If you are worried about getting a seat, feel free to come early. Also, if you cannot make it, we will be posting a video of the seminar on our Facebook page @angelwingswellness. We hope to see you there!

Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrom

An alarming amount of people in the United States currently suffer from Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrom and don’t even know it! As the name suggests, this syndrome is a condition where an individual produces a lower amount of cannabinoids than experts consider to be essential in the promotion of health, vitality, and well-being. This deficiency can leave people susceptible to chronic pain, Fibromyalgia, Anorexia, Depression, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, chronic migraines, Multiple Sclerosis, PTSD, Neuropathy, Huntington’s Disease, and Parkinson’s Disease, to name a few. However, by supplementing CBD, we now have a way to prevent and counteract these ailments!

A Brief Dosing Guide to CBD

Dosing CBD can be a bit tricky at first. However, there are some standard rules to follow when trying to identify the correct amount to take.

Firstly, they always use the phrase “low and slow” when it comes to CBD usage. With the exception of severe pain management, most ailments can be managed with minimal amounts of these supplements. While it may take a few days for the CBD oil to build up in your system, the amount is less important than the consistency and regularity of taking it.

Additionally, when CBD is supplemented in low amounts, it acts as a stimulant. Alternatively when used in large amounts, it functions as a depressant. Therefore, if you’re having trouble with sleeping, make sure not to take too little an amount. On the other hand, if you are dosing with CBD in the morning, try not to take too much.

Finally, it is always best to keep a close eye on your progress. As every body absorbs and reacts to CBD differently, not all doses will be the same between different individuals. It is always recommended to keep some sort of journal or log to help understand how much CBD to supplement. This way, you can document how much you took, how long you felt it took to kick in, how long it lasted, and adjust your dosage accordingly.

Moving forward our hours of operation will be slightly altered. We will be open everyday from 11:30 – 5:00, except on Tuesdays when we will be closed. With this in mind, please note that if you see the front door open outside of these hours, feel free to stop in!

Additionally, we would like to remind everyone that we offer a 10% discount to all veteran’s, service members, firefighters, law enforcement officers, school teachers, and anyone over the age of 65.

New Product Line

I am very excited to introduce our new line of full-spectrum CBD products from the Luce Farm Wellness.

CBD and Inflammation

One of my favorite properties about CBD is it’s anti-inflammatory effect on the body. While inflammation is apart of the body’s immune response, it isn’t always perfect. It can be beneficial when, for example, your knee sustains a blow and tissues need care and protection. However, sometimes, inflammation can persist longer than necessary, causing more harm than benefit. People with chronic inflammation are susceptible to asthma, tuberculosis, arthritis, Chrones, various types of cancer, and in some cases Alzheimer’s. Additionally, our environment can be causing inflammation in ways we don’t even realize. Are you eating an all organic diet? are you breathing in factory fumes or car exhaust on a daily basis? Do you drink a lot of soda? Because of these exposures, inflammation is likely running rampant in your body, and more importantly, your brain. Luckily for us, CBD can counteract this effect.
