Curcumin and CBD for Pain Relief

Curcumin is the main active ingredient in Tumeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects, and is a very strong anti-oxidant (much like CBD). Why is this important? Because inflammation is the main cause for almost every chronic, “Western” disease. This includes heart disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, Alzheimer’s and various degenerative conditions, just to name a few. By combining CBD with Curcumin in a soft-gel form, people are finally finding relief from pain like never before!

Lowering Blood Pressure Naturally With CBD!

Thanks to a growing body of research into the health benefits of cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids, a picture is beginning to emerge of the numerous biological processes that are influenced by these incredible compounds. Additionally, scientists are starting to realize that many of these processes follow daily cycles, which means that using cannabinoids at different times of the day or night can have a major impact on their efficiency. Accordingly, new research shows that taking CBD just before bed significantly increases its capacity to lower blood pressure and treat hypertension.

Harnessing The Body Clock

At the cutting edge of medicine is a relatively new and incredibly exciting modality called chronotherapy, which takes into account the body’s natural rhythms in order to ensure that medications are administered at the most appropriate time of the day. Also known as the circadian rhythm, the body’s daily ebb and flow is produced by the temporary activation of many different genes at various times of day, and controls everything from the sleep-wake cycle to blood pressure.

High blood pressure – also known as hypertension – is one of the most pressing health issues in Western societies, and is a major cause of heart attacks and strokes. Numerous studies have found CBD to be effective at lowering blood pressure when taken in the morning, although a newly published PhD thesis by Aidan Murray from the University of Guelph indicates that taking CBD at night is considerably more beneficial.

In Murray’s study, mice were given CBD at different times of the day, with results showing that those who received the cannabinoid just before going to sleep experienced the biggest reductions in blood pressure. In fact, when taken at night, CBD was found to lower blood pressure to the same degree as common pharmaceutical drugs for hypertension.

Fight Free Radical Damage and Visibly Reduce Fine Lines!

Scientists now believe that free radical damage is one of the major players in aging—especially the skin. Free radicals are atoms that have lost an electron and are caused by a variety of environmental factors such as smog, dust, cigarette smoke, and the sun. In an attempt to fix themselves, free radicals attempt to grab electrons from atoms in the skin, causing damage to the skin’s DNA, which results in accelerated aging of the skin.

Antioxidants are the best defense against free radical damage, with research indicating that they help fight against free radicals and reduce the signs of skin again. With CBD’s antioxidant properties, CBD-infused anti-aging creams have the potential to visibly reduce fine lines, wrinkles, skin dullness and redness characteristic of aging skin.

Our CBD infused Hyaluronic acid serum, Angel Face, or North East Kingdom Hemp Rose CBD Facial Oil are both great ways to refresh your skin and fight that free radical damage, and at 29.00 a bottle it won’t break the bank. Come on down and try a free sample!

A CBD Dosing Guide

Dosing CBD can be a bit tricky at first. However, there are some standard rules to follow when trying to identify the correct amount to take.

Firstly, they always use the phrase “low and slow” when it comes to CBD usage. With the exception of severe pain management, most ailments can be managed with minimal amounts of these supplements. While it may take a few days for the CBD oil to build up in your system, the amount is less important than the consistency and regularity of taking it.

Additionally, when CBD is supplemented in low amounts, it acts as a stimulant. Alternatively when used in large amounts, it produces a calming effect. Therefore, if you’re having trouble with sleeping, make sure not to take too little an amount. On the other hand, if you are dosing with CBD in the morning, try not to take too much.

Finally, it is always best to keep a close eye on your progress. As every body absorbs and reacts to CBD differently, not all doses will be the same between different individuals. It is always recommended to keep some sort of journal or log to help understand how much CBD to supplement. This way, you can document how much you took, how long you felt it took to kick in, how long it lasted, and adjust your dosage accordingly.

CBD CAN Help Anxiety

We are currently living through anxiety provoking times. The coronavirus is the perfect recipe to turn even the most laid back and centered among us into worrying wrecks, imagining the most catastrophic (although unlikely) outcomes for ourselves and our loved ones.

And that, dear friends, is the day-to-day life of someone living with anxiety. I know because for the last fifteen years it’s an inner world I’ve inhabited. Only for me, it’s not a pandemic I’m freaking out about, but lesser evils such as whether I’m going to make a complete idiot of myself in some social gathering or my own favorite anxiety rabbit hole – feeling anxious about feeling anxious.

While there’s no magic bullet to banish anxiety for good, managing anxiety symptoms is a commonly stated reason why people take cannabis – medical or otherwise – with CBD showing particular promise in preliminary studies.

ANXIETY DISORDERS

Anxiety disorders are a collection of mental health conditions characterized by disproportionate worrying about future events that brings about physiological responses in the body such as tightness in the chest, shortness of breath, muscle tension, sleep disturbance, excessive sweating, agitation, restlessness, irritability, and difficulty concentrating.

Avoidance behavior are common strategies amongst anxiety sufferers. If you’ve had a panic attack crossing a bridge, there’s a fair chance you’ll never make it to the other side of that river again. And for the socially anxious amongst us, myself included, not turning up to that party or after work drinks or a friend’s wedding are tactics regularly employed.

CBD and Migraines

One of my favorite things about helping people improve their lives by adding CBD is the feedback I receive from clients. Two weeks ago a woman in her 50’s came in and explained to me how she suffers from debilitating migraines at least 3 times a week. She has seen a slew of medical professionals, being treated with pharmaceuticals and Botox with no real results. She was desperate and was willing to try anything. After her free consultation we decided upon a starting point 500 mg CO 2 extracted full spectrum CBD from North East Kingdom Hemp, a small batch family Hemp Farm in Vermont.

She came back yesterday JOYOUS, beaming that she has not had a migraine in 10 days !!! ” That was the best 64 dollars I have ever spent!” She said CBD and me are her new best friends!

Real Testimonial…Joint Pain-from new CBD user

This is just one of the amazing testimonials we have heard over the last year since we opened our store:

My lower arm and hand have been inflamed and swollen for 6 weeks. Most of the joints in my hand and wrist were soar and I could barely perform my job. I’d been seeing a physical therapist and a massage therapist regularly with no real results. My massage therapist suggested I go to Angel Wings Wellness and ask about topicals, after all they offer free samples, what do I have to lose. I tried a couple different topicals and was given a sample to take home a re apply later. What a surprise I had the next morning! No more pain no more swelling! I immediately went back to the shop and purchased a jar of this amazing topical! I told the shop owner, I don’t know what is in this stuff but it should be called The Miracle Cream!

I highly recommend anyone who has any joint pain, swelling or muscle aches to visit Angel Wings Wellness and get a free sample, you won’t regret it!
