ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
Join us at North Shore Restorative Yoga this Sunday Evening November 19 from 6:30pm-8pm to individually and collectively practice GRATITUDE with a deeply healing Restorative Yoga Workshop with Katie Schroeder. Restorative yoga uses props-bolsters, blankets, blocks, sandbags and eye pillows to invite the body into simple, powerful, therapeutic poses that bring the body into balance. Restorative yoga is all about relaxing the body to release tension and stress. You will feel lighter and more connected to your body, mind and heart.
The theme of November is GRATITUDE for this body, for this mind, for this heart, for this life. This month we focus on what we can be grateful for by breathing in love and breathing out love while supporting our bodies to heal and harmonize in gentle Restorative poses. Feel the love and find the gratitude in this heart opening practice.
All levels, ages, no experience necessary. $25 Pre-register at www.nsryoga.com to secure your space! All props and mats provided. Prepare for an evening of pampering and nourishment before the holidays!
The older we get, the more we lose; this is the law of impermanence. We lose loved ones, cherished dreams, physical strength, work, and relationships. Often, it seems like loss upon loss. All these losses bring up enormous grief that we must be prepared to embrace completely, if we are to live with open hearts.” – Ram Dass
By connecting with our bodies and breath, we give ourselves the opportunity to cultivate a self-healing practice through physical postures and meditation. Drawing from both ancient wisdom and modern therapeutic techniques, this two hour workshop incorporates: Yin Yoga, Slow Flow, Reiki, and Gentle Qi Gong.
Please join Deana Bacon, Tara Briggs, and Paul Findlen for this sacred guided journey, as we discover the healing power of grace, and are reminded that we are all in this together. Pre-register to secure your spot. $35 for two hour workshop.

Katie Schroeder is the owner and main yoga instructor at North Shore Restorative Yoga. She has taught yoga for over a decade at many of the wonderful studios on the North Shore and holds masters degrees in conflict resolution and psychology. Her dream and passion is to create a space where the community can find health and well-being through traditional flow yoga, restorative yoga, mindfulness, meditation and other healing arts that connect us deeper to self-love, balance and true connection to everyone in our life.
Katie considers herself a gypsy soul after a childhood of moving every couple years all over the US and abroad due to her Dad’s corporate job. Her easy going personality and love for life were the perfect mix for meeting new people and exploring new places with ease. Katie is happy to now call the beautiful North Shore home and is grateful to live in such a special place with a diverse community. She has always been a spiritual seeker for optimal health and happiness and is thankful to her amazing mom who introduced her to yoga in high school. Yoga has been the anchor for Katie during the uncertainty and constant change that life can bring. It inspires her to be a better person, better mother and better partner in all of her relationships. It has especially taught her the value of self-love and self-respect that comes with a daily yoga practice.
Katie is well-known for her speciality of restorative yoga and is grateful to share her gift of relaxing people. She is a fun loving teacher who supports each person on their own unique journey to well-being and healing, always threading a beautiful message of inspiration into all of her classes, workshops and private sessions.

We are all so busy! It’s just part of life. But that’s just it, we can make being busy just one part of our lives. We can balance the other parts of our lives by being with what we love and being surrounded by what we love. Sounds a little dreamy, but their is science behind it. It’s called slowing down and learning to be still, TUNING IN so that we have a precious moment to remember what is actually important to YOU. This simple yet effective practice is the essence of Restorative Yoga. It will support you to begin the powerful journey of learning to just be comfortable with doing nothing, expecting nothing and allowing yourself to feel like enough (which ironically helps you accomplish way more than you ever imagined!) WHY?
Restorative yoga supports your body to be completely comfortable in simple, therapeutic poses by using bolsters, blocks, blankets and sandbags which then sends a message to your mind that it is ok to relax. When your body and mind get the message that it is ok to relax, then it can heal, change and transform. You can clear out all that busy information that the body and mind get every day and you can begin to just practice being in your body and being in one moment at a time with integrity and clarity. Trust me, it isn’t always easy to be still and some days are harder than others, but the more you practice the more you will feel like you have AWAKENED to your precious life for the very first time.
Lucky for YOU, North Shore Restorative Yoga offers a ton of classes and workshops to meet each individual’s needs. Sometimes you need to move through a vinyasa flow before you get down to restoring or maybe you are ready to show up to a workshop and get your restore on right away.
