Beginner Yoga Series with Sharon Esker Four-week series, $80 Investment: January 5, 12, 19, 26 Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 Offered In Studio & Virtually
Whether you are brand new to yoga or wanting to reconnect to the basic fundamentals of your practice, you are welcome to attend this Beginner Yoga Series. Vinyasa yoga unites the body and the breath through the creative linking of postures (asanas). With down-to-earth, clear instruction and explanation, you will learn several postures and breathing practices most commonly used in a vinyasa-style yoga class. This series is designed to guide you in feeling more comfortable in your own body and provide you with a foundation to build a sustainable, personal yoga practice. Workshop series includes 4 pre-recorded videos to guide you through Mindful Moments throughout your week to complement your practice.

Realign with your body, mind, and heart. Join Megan Ghirardi as we reintroduce our beloved Restorative Yoga Workshop. Release and unwind from the demands of day to day life. Restorative postures will allow the body-mind to settle into deep relaxation, unlocking your natural potential to heal from stress, and reconnect to your resilience and innate wholeness through stillness and breath. Studio props will be available, but bring your own eye pillow if you wish. Each studio participant will receive a single-serving of lavender and sesame oil for a nurturing self-massage (optional of course!) This workshop will leave you feeling energized, rejuvenated, and peaceful.
If you are new to Nia and Restorative Yoga with Linda, these streaming classes are free. Share with anyone who you feel needs a little movement or peace in their lives during this period of social isolation.
So here is how it works. It will be easier for you if you download the Zoom client for meetings for a desktop or laptop, or the app for phones and tablets.
At my website, niawithlinda.com, you will want to click on the link for the class and time you are trying to join. Otherwise you will be all alone!
If you have downloaded the client/app, the meeting will open automatically in that interface.
If you have not downloaded the app/client, it should open in a web browser.
You can join early and sit in the waiting room. No magazines but no doctors either.
I’ll leave the audio open till the class starts. If I leave the audio on, it interferes with my audio and we can’t have that! I’ll open it back up at the end. If you need to get my attention, you can raise your hand. It is an icon in the middle of the bottom of the screen.
Find a little space in your home and be prepared to move and have fun.
For Restorative Yoga, find some cushions, large books, yoga blocks, blankets, whatever you can use instead of bolsters and blocks. We make it work. For more information on Restorative yoga, check out my site, niawithlinda.com. It is a lovely passive practice that gives the participant relaxation and calm. Who couldn’t use that right now.
Feel free to share these invitations to classes with anyone who needs it.
