New Years Eve and New Years Day YOGA

Teaching New Year’s eve classes are Erin’s favorite thing. She is elated to join you on the east coast again this year for an evening of community, possibility, cultivating clarity and of course bringing the sweat and sweet soul.

It’s time to turn the lights down low, set the tone, take a pause and acknowledge all that you’ve been through and all that’s yet to come. We’ll join together for an evening of alchemy using movement, breath, space and silence to process, honor and release another year and decade gone by.

Expect an all levels class and then grounding it all down with restorative poses + yoga nidra (guided sleep meditation) to cradle you right into a new year with another chance to live life to the fullest and set your 2020 vision. Bring your partner, your friends and kids and let’s do this thing!

Winter 3-day Cleanse!

Winter 3-day Cleanse!

Join Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC, and Four Directions Integrative Health in a guided, at-home, 3-day Winter Cleanse.

January 12 – 15, 2020

Winter is a great time of year for a cleanse. This is not just a cleanse, but one that also helps to rejuvenate the body and mind.

Seasonal cleansing rids our bodies of all sorts of toxins, pollutants, harsh chemicals, pesticides, and any other Ama (toxic residue) that our physical body has accumulated over the holiday period. Cleanses will help to purify and tone the internal organs, cells, and tissues of the body, flushing out impurities that aren’t serving us.

* Have you been feeling more sluggish and tired lately
* Is your energy level just not what it used to be
* After you eat, all you want to do is take a nap
* Is your thinking as clear and sharp as you’d like
* Do you have a heavy coating on your tongue
* Do you have foul body, breath and/or stool odor
* Are you experiencing indigestion and excessive flatulence
* Do you have body aches
* Is your mind foggy

An Ayurvedic cleanse focuses on resetting the digestive fire, allowing it to rest and strengthen. The detoxifying nature also supports the body’s own natural mechanisms to remove built up toxins from the body. It’s a bit like cleaning out the pipes when the drain gets clogged, or hopefully even before the drain gets clogged.

Included in cleanse:
6 meals
Cleanse Supplements
Oil and Tridoshic Body Scrub
Cleansing Tea
Email and/or phone support
Massage special
30-minute follow up Ayurveda Consultation by phone

Give your body and mind a present this holiday season: The gift of Nia and of Restorative Yoga!

nia holiday vol 2 graphic.jpg

What is Nia and Why Should I Try It?

Nia is a head to toe wellness practice, with elements of dance, martial arts, yoga, and cardiovascular conditioning. We work with movements that help build core strength while honoring our body with its strengths and limitations. People think because Nia is a no impact movement form, that it is easy and not a true workout. it all depends on how you move and how intensely you use your core muscles. It can be both an incredible workout and is adaptable for those with limitations. All in the same class! Come try it if you haven’t. You will be amazed at the results!  Linda is a certified white belt Nia teacher.

IMG_5059What is Restorative and Why Should I Try It?

Restorative Yoga is a relaxing and nurturing practice that allows the body and mind to relax and well, restore.  All you need to do is sit or lie on a mat with your body supported by bolsters, blocks and blankets.  I do all the work.  No energy or expertise required for you.  The benefits of the practice include better sleep, less anxiety, gentle stretching of the body especially the chest and shoulders, etc.

Linda was was trained in level I Rest. Yoga in the Judith Lasater tradition by Ann Biasetti.
