Use this time to observe your loved one and know the signs of when additional help is needed
As you visit your loved one this holiday season, it is important to use this time not only to enjoy the time with them but also to observe their living environment, physical health and mental/emotional well-being.
Here are a few of top warning signs that you or your loved one might benefit from additional help in the home:
Changes in Balance or Mobility Are they having a more difficult time getting around?
Significant Weight Changes Do you notice significant weight gain or weight loss?
Emotional Well-Being Detecting depression, especially over the phone, can be difficult. Learn what to look for.
Living Conditions Is the mail piling up? Are they keeping up with the household needs?
If you are concerned that your loved one might need help managing their house or caring for themselves – give us a call at 781-245-1880 or visit us online at abchhp.com. ABC Home Healthcare has been helping to keep Cape Ann seniors safe at home for nearly 20 years. We would be honored to help you too.
Crystal Healing is a technique that uses precisely placed crystals either on and/or around the physical body. Crystals may also be laid in precise geometric patterns within the environment. Crystals absorb, focus, direct, detoxify, shift, and diffuse energy as they interact with the electromagnetic forces and subtle vibrations within the subtle human or environmental energy field. The main influence for healing is the chakra philosophy of disease caused by energy imbalances. All participants will take home a crystal to practice crystal healing on their own! Register

Gloucester, MA – The Glen T. MacLeod Cape Ann YMCA hosted its first golf tournament at the beautiful Bass Rocks Golf Club on Monday. It was a cold and windy day but 76 golfers hit the links to join forces to raise funds to support the Y’s educational and summer youth programming. As a result of the pandemic, the YMCA is providing increasingly more financial support to children, adults and families across all programmatic areas. The YMCA of the North Shore golf tournaments have created a viable means of fundraising to eliminate the financial barrier and enable access to those in the community that need the YMCA most. With the generous support of title sponsor Institution for Savings, this tournament raised just over $50,000 in one day.
Erina McWilliam-Lopez, Executive Director of the Glen T. MacLeod Cape Ann YMCA said, “The incredible support we saw for this tournament is a true testament to the way the Cape Ann community comes together to help those who need it most. Tournament proceeds ensure we can fulfill our commitment to providing vital resources to children and families throughout our community. Huge thanks to Bass Rocks for a spectacular venue and special thanks to Institution for Savings for being a title sponsor. We can’t wait until next year!”
The Glen T. MacLeod Cape Ann Y currently serves more than 10,000 members, provides more than $760,000 in financial assistance, and offers programs including swim lessons, sports programs as well as camp and licensed child care. Providing affordable housing to North Shore residents is also a core component of the YMCA’s mission. The soon to be built senior housing at the Y’s former location on Middle Street in downtown Gloucester will provide 44 one bedroom units of Y affordable housing for seniors in Gloucester. This will be adjacent to its 22 single room occupancy affordable units.
About the YMCA of the North Shore The Y is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits, strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. For over 160 years, the YMCA of the North Shore has been strengthening the foundations of the community. It serves more than 40,000 members and program participants in 25 cities and towns, nurturing the potential of children and teens, improving health and well-being, and providing opportunities to give back and support our neighbors, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, or socio-economic background.
