Free Streaming Nia, Restorative Yoga and Moving to Heal Classes via Zoom with Linda for the Week of May 9th, Swinging Country Blues routine

Current Nia Routine:s Swinging Country Blues

This is a great, sem

We will revisit a favorite routine, Country Bluesy Swing music.  This routine features music from three groups, The Bumper Jacksons, The Quebe Sisters and Hot Club of Cowtown.  You won’t want to miss this fun and crazy music.  Git yer spurs on and join us down at the rodeo for some fun, EEEEEEE HAH!

Moving to Heal Thursdays at 1:30 PM

Moving to Heal Nia is a slower, less intensive class with less standing and more done in the chair. Great for people with injuries or conditions that make it hard to participate in a classic Nia class. Also good for people getting back into exercise. For more info on Moving to Heal, see the info and videos on my web site or click here

Restorative Yoga

In this crazy season, treat yourself to an hour of peace, relaxation and restoration.  Lovely passive practice aimed at quieting the nervous system, mind and body.

Find some cushions, large books, yoga blocks, blankets, whatever you can use instead of bolsters and blocks.  We make it work.  For more information on Restorative yoga, check out my site,  It is a lovely passive practice that gives the participant relaxation and calm. Who couldn’t use that right now.

So here is how it works.  It will be easier for you if you download the Zoom client for meetings for a desktop or laptop, or the app for phones and tablets.

Click here for the link to download the zoom client or the app

Then click on this link to bring to my website and the list of streaming classes

At my website,, go to the zoom classes tab. You will want to click on the link for the class and time you are trying to join.  Otherwise you will be all alone!

If you have downloaded the client/app, the meeting will open automatically in that interface.

If you have not downloaded the app/client, it should open in a web browser.

You can join early and sit in the waiting room. No magazines but no doctors either.

I’ll leave the audio open till the class starts.  If I leave the audio on, it interferes with my audio and we can’t have that!  I’ll open it back up at the end.  If you need to get my attention, you can raise your hand.  It is an icon in the middle of the bottom of the screen.

If you need any techie help, call me  617-851-2738  or email me at

Find a little space in your home and be prepared to move and have fun.

Feel free to share these invitations to classes with anyone who needs it.

Love to all and stay healthy,

Linda Wilkes

The  Glen T. MacLeod Cape Ann YMCA received a $10,000 gift from BankGloucester to support the Y’s financial assistance program. BankGloucester President & CEO Patrick Thorpe presented a check to YMCA of the North Shore President & CEO Chris Lovasco on May 5, 2022.

BankGloucester President & CEO Patrick Thorpe presents a check for $10,000 to YMCA of the North Shore President & CEO Chris Lovasco

“The Y is an exceptional organization. They have been a staple of the Cape Ann Community for a very long time and through their programs, have supported our community members and their families in various ways, said Patrick Thorpe, BankGloucester President & CEO. Thorpe added, “This has been especially true over the past couple of years as the pandemic has significantly impacted so many of us. The Y has stepped up and provided financial assistance and support in so many different areas. We are very fortunate to have an organization like the YMCA in our community, and BankGloucester is pleased to be able to support their initiatives with this gift.”

This generous donation will help the Y broaden their reach to more children and families in need of financial assistance to access the Y’s resources, programs and activities.  The Y has seen a significant uptick in the requests for financial support, especially over the past two years and BankGloucester’s gift will make it possible for the Y to provide more to those who need it most.

Chris Lovasco, YMCA of the North Shore President & CEO said, “Our Y truly values our long standing relationship with BankGloucester.  They have been an incredibly generous partner.  From their early support for the new Glen T. MacLeod Cape Ann YMCA to ensuring, with their annual support, that our Y continues to say yes to any child or family in need of Y services regardless of their ability to pay. As our Y has grown, the need for financial aid has grown equally. Support like this is vital to making sure we meet our mission of welcoming all.”
