UPCOMING CLOSURES TO THE Y

WE’RE RAISING FUNDS TO SUPPORT CAPE ANN

We’re excited to host the YMCA of the North Shore’s annual event that raises critical funds for our Y and the Cape Ann community. As always, our goal is to create as little impact as possible to our members.

To get the Y ready for this special event, we will be closed during the following dates and times:

  • Friday, September 30: Gymnasium will be CLOSED all day. The facility will CLOSE at 1:00 pm (This closure will NOT impact childcare drop off or pick up)
  • Saturday, October 1: Entire facility will be CLOSED all day
  • Sunday, October 2: Facility OPENS at 12:00 noon

Please note: Any programming on Friday night, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning before noon will be canceled, while swim lessons will still be offered on Friday afternoon until 3:00 pm for those who are currently registered.

For swim lesson participants, we have scheduled make-up classes at the regularly scheduled times on Wednesday, December 28th, and Thursday, December 29th. We apologize for any inconvenience, and genuinely appreciate your understanding.

EVERY Y IS YOUR Y

We understand it’s more convenient to get your workout in right here in Gloucester but just 15 minutes away, our neighboring Ipswich and Greater Beverly Y’s are excited to welcome you to enjoy their fitness centers, kids clubs, pools, and a huge variety of group exercise classes that weekend!

News from your YMCA!

As I reach one month as the new Executive Director, I am genuinely inspired each day by our dedicated and diverse member community. Thanks to you and the generosity of our supporters, hundreds of families and children have access to health and wellness, learning, and fun at our Y. Last year, we awarded more than $510,000 in financial aid for membership, program, childcare and camp with projections even higher this year.

Exciting news! We’re hosting our first golf tournament at Bass Rocks on Monday, October 3, 2022 and you’re invited! 100% of the proceeds go directly into our financial assistance program for children and families.
