MANY, MANY THANKS TO THE ADDISON GILBERT EMERGENCY ROOM TEAM
I find myself forthe second time this year sending a heartfelt thanks to the compassionate and infinitely competentemergency room staff and EMTsat Addison Gilbert Hospital. Embarrassingly, yesterday morning I fell on the rocks along the berm. The nicest personyou could ever meet, Carol, helped me to my feet and waited with me for the ambulance, taking care of me, Rosie, car, and camera until husband and son arrived.
The EMT Jeff Romeo was terrifically kind (both Jeff and the ambulance driver, whose name I did not learn, were terrific). When I asked him if he pronounces his name the same as does our Mayor, we laughed when he said no, becausehe is from New York, hisname is pronounced like the Romeo of Shakespeare fame.
So many thanks to Doctor Berger for getting my elbow back in place, and…

Happy Holidays from all of us at AGH to all of you!!
Give Something Powerful for Christmas

Socks are nice. Books are great. Candy, treats, and cookies are all tasty and fun to eat. A new Lexus with one of those red bows would be totally awesome. But one powerful gift says:
“I love you so much that I want you to be happy, healthy, and live as long and fulfilling a life as possible.”
That gift is a certificate to Cape Ann Power Yoga.
You can buy one right now online and print it out or come in to the studio 15 minutes before or after any class on our schedule to pick up a certificate in person.
and then:
the person you give the gift certificate to can go online or come in to the studio to use it any time. If they are savvy (which they must be to have a friend like you) they have until January 2 to take advantage of our special Holiday Prices!
Please contact us any time with any questions about our studio, specials, or even just about yoga in general. We are just regular people who have a sincere appreciation for how powerful and life-changing this practice is. That’s why we made all of our regular classes all levels and always just $10. We want you to come and practice, and practice a lot.
Boom. Christmas shopping: Done.

Transformation Through Grief: January Dates

108 Sun Salutations
Young and old, experienced and novice, strong and just taking the first step on that journey – there is a common thread among everyone that walks through the doors at Cape Ann Power Yoga. When you come to practice we know that you are a person who cares about your own health and well being, the wellness of the people in our community, and happiness, health, and freedom for all beings.
We know that you are up for a challenge, that you like being in the company of other people with clear heads and clear hearts, and that you aren’t idly sitting at home and waiting for change, but actively searching it out.

Join us to celebrate the changing seasons both in the atmosphere outside and in your own life and trajectory. Cape Ann Power Yoga is offering our quarterly 108 Sun Saluations class this
Friday, December 18 from 6:30-8:30pm.
108 Sun Salutations is the traditional yogic marking of the Equinox and Solstice. 108 is a number which occurs many times in nature and is used to count buddhist prayers.
Doing 108 Sun Salutation A is like taking a very long walk. At no point is it very difficult, but it requires commitment. With repetition we find an amazing clearing of the heart and head, our postures literally become our prayers.
The sun salutations take about two hours to complete. We’ve allowed for some extra time for getting settled and relaxing after the work. You are certainly invited to modify and to rest as needed. Simply being in the room, surrounded by such a level of dedication will be a transformative experience!
Especially if you haven’t yet come and blessed our space with your presence and sweat: join us. This is a powerful practice to take part in.
$20 per person – sign up online or walk right in and pay at the door.
Please email us any time with any questions. Our goal is to make this practice that we so sincerely believe in accessible to you our friends and neighbors. Let us know how we can help you. We’ll see you in class!

Treetop Yoga Studio: The Premier Yoga Studio on Cape Ann

Yoga studios are opening and closing on the North Shore faster than you can say chaturanga! It is amazing to be a part of a community where the demand for yoga is high, yet we recognize it can be confusing navigating the in’s and out’s of what makes each studio different. What sets Treetop apart and makes us unique? We’ve narrowed it down for you to make it easy!
1. Time-tested, community-approved!
Treetop is the oldest yoga studio still open on Cape Ann. We have been serving this community for over 8 years, and we’re going strong! You can be sure to expect a lot more from us for many years to come.
“I have been to other studios and I think Treetop is by far the best. It is clean and inviting, the staff is friendly and amazing. AND the clientele is friendly. I honestly feel like it’s one big family.”
2. Safety
Treetop teachers are highly trained to keep your body safe. We don’t let just anyone teach a class, we want the best of the best! While respecting your space, our teachers will provide gentle and helpful cues to ensure you are staying safe in your body so you can maintain the healing practice of yoga for a lifetime.
“I love starting my day with 6am classes with helpful, informative instructors and kind classmates! I learn something new each class! Thank you, Treetop!”
3. A one size does NOT fit all approach
We recognize that every body is different, and that different types of yoga are appropriate for different people. Our class schedule features an eclectic combination of instructors with very different training and teaching styles in order to best meet the needs of our diverse community. From beginner classes, to sweaty flow classes, to restorative and gentle, we’ve got all the bases covered!
“This was my first yoga class and I’m totally hooked! I’ve been practicing yoga for a few months now on my own.. but after having my son I’ve been very insecure. I felt very comfortable and everyone was so welcoming and friendly, I cant wait to try out all the different classes!”
4. Quality!
We strongly believe that we offer the best quality yoga classes out there. Out of the dozens and dozens of yoga studios spanning from Reading to Newburyport and everywhere in between, Treetop was ranked in the top three. Our reputation precedes us.
“I’ve practiced in many states and a few countries, and I always come home grateful for Treetop. It truly is a gem. We’re lucky to have yoga of this caliber in our backyard.”
5. Community
Our hope is to provide our community with a place where everyone can find the guidance they need to explore and discover yoga. We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere where you will feel welcomed, cared for and supported.
“If you’re looking for a friendly, non-judgmental studio to unwind and practice, this is your place”
