Would You Enjoy A REALLY Good Night Sleep?

A good night’s sleep is essential to to your over all health and well being. Experts recommend adults sleep at least seven hours a night. Proper sleep contributes to memory function, prevents sickness by building the immune system and ensures overall wellness. Unfortunately, as many as 70% of Americans report they do not sleep for the recommended hours.

One increasingly popular strategy for sleeping better is taking cannabidiol (CBD), a derivative of Hemp. CBD is commonly used to improve sleep.

Arthritis Pain?

If you have chronic arthritis pain, you may be wondering about cannabidiol (CBD) as a treatment. CBD, along with delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and other chemicals, is found in marijuana. But unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive — that is, it does not cause the intoxication or high associated with marijuana use.

There’s a good chance you’ve tried it already: according to a 2019 Gallup poll, about 14% of Americans report using CBD products, and the number one reason is pain. The Arthritis Foundation conducted its own poll, and found that 29% reported current use of CBD (mostly in liquid or topical form), and nearly 80% of respondents were either using it, had used it in the past, or were considering it. Of those using it, most reported improvement in physical function, sleep, and well-being; of note, a minority reported improvement in pain or stiffness.

HEMP WELLNESS! NEK HEMP CBD…Why So Expensive?

by North East Kingdom Hemp

We hear this concern and sympathize with the sentiment. As a working-class family farm in rural Vermont, we appreciate a good bargain as much as anyone. On the surface, it may seem that CBD production is simple (just grow a weed), but that is far from the case. The best means of growing, extracting, processing, and formulating CBD are costly. Quite simply, the production of Quality CBD is not a cheap process. Our values determine how we run this business and we simply can not accept the option of selling contaminated, low concentration, partial-spectrum, inorganic, unverified CBD. We know that trust is essential for a long term relationship, and that is why we have invested in making CBD the right way. When a customer buys our products, whether a tincture or topical or artisanal flower, they can have confidence they are getting the safest and best CBD on the market. We get third party lab testing to verify potency, terpene profile, and contaminant-free. We have taken the extra steps to certify both our products and processes organic. We have invested in the most efficient CO2 extraction technology to get truly full-spectrum CBD. We have a robust and advanced laboratory to process the CBD to remove bad tastes and odors of chlorophyll and waxes. We will not take short cuts, such as machine trimming or skipping winterization. We will only use the best organic ingredients and methods because quality is our top priority.

Unfortunately, there are also costs associated with CBD that have nothing to do with product quality. Rather, they relate to the evolving legal and economic factors that influence the cost. For example, we need to pay extra for attorney consultations, compliance officers, insurance, credit card processing, and banking. As regulations are more clearly defined and the legal grey areas dissipate, we should see meaningful cost savings. As the market matures, the perceived risk will diminish so that we are charged less by monetary institutions just for being in the CBD business. We intend to pass these savings on to our customers, as we have done by recently lowering some of our prices.

Since starting Northeast Kingdom Hemp in early 2017 we have worked diligently to achieve our goal of producing the highest quality CBD products at a price that more people can afford. We are so appreciative of our loyal customers who have supported us and helped spread the word that quality really does make a difference.

Benefits of Massage Therapy with Chiropractic Care

Many people view massage therapy as a method for relaxing and letting go of stress. These are two benefits, of course, but massage therapy is also an incredible tool for healing various issues.

How Does Massage Therapy Work?

Therapeutic massage is a method through which firm strokes or pressure are utilized in a target area. This technique helps break up nervous tissues to relieve pain and address motion restrictions. These benefits are commonly known, but this approach does much more than that.

As treated, an area pulls blood and other healing nutrients to kickstart the body’s natural healing processes. As a result, damaged tissue can regenerate and heal, relieving pain and reducing inflammation.

Massage therapy is also beneficial, as it promotes the release of endorphins in the body. This method provides a feeling of relaxation and reduces or eliminates your pain.

Combine Massage Therapy with Other Methods

Both the hard and soft tissues of the body work together and rely on each other to keep you healthy. Therefore, when there is an issue in either area, it can cause an issue in the other. Consequently, the hard and soft tissues must be treated for full and lasting relief.

Conditions Massage Therapy Can Address

Therapeutic massage has been used for many years to address various conditions and symptoms. The following are just a few conditions our team uses it for.

  • Joint Pain – Joint pain and stiffness often come from a combination of issues in the hard and soft tissues. Adjustments, massage therapy, and other methods can help reduce pain, discomfort, and reduce or eliminate joint stiffness to get you back to moving well.
  • Back Pain – Any issue in the back tends to pressure the spinal bones and the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Spinal adjustments, massage therapy, and therapeutic exercise help to address these components, fully and effectively relieving back pain.
  • Shoulder Pain – In most cases, shoulder pain comes from overuse of the muscles due to work or sports. Massage therapy is a safe and natural way to relieve pain, restore range of motion, and prevent future injuries.

Neck pain, headaches and migraines, scoliosis, sciatica, and carpal tunnel syndrome are other conditions that can benefit from therapeutic massage with our team.
