Visual Arts as Healing

Gloucester MA, “a Great Resort for Artists” — Karl Baedeker. The natural light, sea, rocky granite shores and scenic beauty of Cape Ann has drawn artists, writers and poets for centuries.

I am Inspired by the natural beauty of Cape Ann and grateful for scenes such as this sunset on the Annisquam River. Seeing a standing heron at low tide and this sky filled with angelic clouds reflected in the water, it felt as though ‘Gifted by Grace.’

‘Annisquam Delight,’ SOLD at my very first show, entered in 2017 at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center. ‘Meditation Rock in a Storm,’ chosen for the ‘Opposites Attract’ open juried show at Cape Cod Arts Center represents finding peace in the midst of any storm we might face in life. Along the Annisquam River there are many beautiful spots to enjoy meditation, yoga, and other relaxation techniques, promoting inner peace and wellbeing for mind, body and spirit. I feel grateful and blessed to call Cape Ann, home.
