Reiki – (ray-kee) – translated from Japanese as ‘Energy of the Universe.’

‘Reiki Ryoho’ – the Japanese Healing Method/Art that began in Japan in 1922. Offered through light touch, without manipulation of tissue. Reiki is classified by the National Institutes of Health as a ‘Mind-Body Practice’ and generally considered to be safe.

Reiki sessions promote relaxation and potential benefits include:

  • Relief of tension
  • Improved comfort
  • Increased calm
  • Improved sleep
  • Greater sense of inner peace.

Note: Reiki is offered as supportive care. Reiki is not meant to take the place of conventional medicine. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose, treat or offer cure.

Caution: Deep relaxation may lead to intrusive thoughts and memories. Check with your physician before having a reiki session, practicing hypnosis or meditation if you have a history of mental illness or trauma.
