Medication Disposal Day
Just in time for Mother’s Day, Saltwater Massage Studio is now offering
Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage.
When we decided to offer Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage at Saltwater Massage Studio, I knew that I wanted this service to be special. To be GREAT. Magical. The kind of massage you remember and tell your friends about. And I think we’ve done that.
We are in the business of making people feel better, in body and mind. So in keeping with that theme, our Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage puts our own therapeutic spin on things.
You’ve probably seen ads where a bunch of black stones are laid out over a woman’s body, or maybe you’ve had a treatment like this somewhere. I have, and to tell you the truth, I sort of felt like I was just waiting for the massage to start the whole time. And by the time they started putting 10 teeny stones between my toes, the whole things felt kind of goofy.
If I’m going to spend my hard-earned money on a massage, I want to know for sure that it’s going to be deep, relaxing, and relevant to the issues in my own body. And I’m sure you do too.
So how is our Hot Stone Massage Therapy different?
For starters, in our treatment the emphasis is still on providing deep, effective massage just like in all of our treatments. Instead of laying the stones out, we incorporate the stones into the massage like an extension of our hands to augment the effects. The heat from the stones allows us to work more deeply without discomfort. And the warm, organic lavender oil soothes you into a deep state of relaxation – that happy, almost-dreaming place that allows your mind to drift off and soak up an hour or more of deep therapeutic rest. It’s not about adding a gimmick, it’s about deepening everything good about massage therapy.
Before we officially added the Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage to the menu, I had my colleague Heather do a test run on me. And I have to say, it was one of the best massage experiences I have had in a while. If you want to know the truth… I’ve booked one
for myself tomorrow. (And I suggest you do the same. Just sayin.)
To health, relaxation, and finding simple joy in life ~
