Visual Arts as Healing

Gloucester MA, “a Great Resort for Artists” — Karl Baedeker. The natural light, sea, rocky granite shores and scenic beauty of Cape Ann has drawn artists, writers and poets for centuries.

‘Annisquam Delight.’ Gloucester MA. ©2015 Dreamtime Wellness LLC.

I am Inspired by the natural beauty of Cape Ann and grateful for scenes such as this sunset on the Annisquam River. Seeing a standing heron at low tide and this sky filled with angelic clouds reflected in the water, it felt as though ‘Gifted by Grace.’

‘Annisquam Delight,’ SOLD at my very first show, entered in 2017 at the Rocky Neck Cultural Center. ‘Meditation Rock in a Storm,’ chosen for the ‘Opposites Attract’ open juried show at Cape Cod Arts Center represents finding peace in the midst of any storm we might face in life. Along the Annisquam River there are many beautiful spots to enjoy meditation, yoga, and other relaxation techniques, promoting inner peace and wellbeing for mind, body and spirit. I feel grateful and blessed to call Cape Ann, home.

American Heart Month – Smoking is a Major Risk Factor for Heart Disease. Besides causing breathing problems and lung cancer, smoking is also a major cause of cardiovascular (heart and blood vessel) disease.

Here Are the Facts:

  • Cigarette smoking accounts for about one-fifth of all deaths from heart disease in the United States.
  • Smokers have a two to four fold increase in coronary artery disease and about a 70 percent higher death rate from coronary artery disease than do nonsmoker.
  • Smoking is a major risk factor for heart disease.

New Moon = New Beginnings

New Moon = New Beginnings

New Moon in Aquarius…Wow, what a gift!

On February 4th, the new moon in Aquarius arrived. Bringing with it a fresh start, this new moon is the first in 2019 that is free of shadow. January was consumed with both a lunar and solar eclipse, neither of which were open to interpretation. Eclipses ten to dominate the scene with their agenda. This new moon is more of a clean slate for us to work with and will perhaps feel like the first new moon of 2019.

What you start with this new moon has help, encouragements, and a door or two opened for it. Whatever it is you are working towards, this new moon gives your efforts the lift they might need to get you there with greater ease.

The more you believe in the validity of your dreams, desires, and visions for your life, the more real they’ll feel.

Here is a question to ask yourself to get started:

“What am I? What am I not?”

Then start writing or speaking your dreams, desires, passion by saying:

“I will” in place of “When I”

“Blockage is disease/Flow is health”😊
