Restorative Yoga with Acupuncture ~

Restorative Yoga with Acupuncture ~

Please join us and celebrate the beginning of the Spring Season by experiencing the deep relaxation of Restorative Yoga combined with the balancing of your energy and meridians with Acupuncture. As we transition into the Spring season. It is important to strengthen the body and mind and immune system.

Each participant will be positioned in a very comfortable restorative pose while acupuncture will be done on meridian points below the elbows and knees to treat the entire body. (And yes, this will relieve your aching back etc.) While the treatment is going on, you will be lead through a gentle meditation and some Reiki and Cranial Sacral treatments. You will be surrounded by other people quietly receiving treatment at the same time. If you are new to acupuncture, this is a great way to get introduced.

Let this become your way of life and watch your life around you become calmer with positive vibes and energy.

Challenge yourself to start tomorrow. If not now, when?

What Settings Do You Prefer for Relaxation and Learning?

Home much does the environment affect your ability to relax and learn?
I have offered sessions and trainings in many settings, from hospitals to horse farms. No matter where I am, I feel the work is the same. I wonder though, how much does the space make a difference to the enjoyment and learning experience of students and clients.
What is your favorite setting in which to ‘Relax and Learn?’ This poll only takes a few moments. Your feedback is much appreciated and will determine the location of future classes and sessions.

The Reiki (Kyogi) Principles –

Today Only …

Let Go of Anger,

Let go of Worry,

With Thankfulness,

Work Diligently (on one’s self)

Be Kind to (Self and) Others.

—From Founder of Usui Reiki Ryohō, USUI Mikao Sensei

(B. August 15, 1865 – D. March 9, 1926; as written on his memorial stone.)

Photos here are of places where sessions, classes and retreats have been/will be offered. The first photo was taken at the North Shore Medical Center, in the hospital. No matter where I have offered reiki sessions people report “feeling relaxed.” So I wonder, how much do the aesthetics of the setting matter? What are your thoughts?

REIKI TRAINING – Dreamtime Wellness™ Reiki Trainings, 1st Degree/Shoden (Beginning Level) will resume in April.  The answers to this poll may determine ‘where.’ This beginning level of reiki practice is intended for self-care and self-healing. You will also learn to offer reiki on family, friends, and pets. Includes a manual, mentoring, and certificate of completion at the end of 50 hours of training, practical experience and self-study.

CEU’s – Offered to case managers, body workers, massage therapists nurses, and social workers  upon request.

Enjoy today in a healthy way, ~ Karen

Food Combining

Food Combining

Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC knows the effects poor food combining can have on the digestive system. It can produce indigestion, fermentation and gas formation and if prolonged, can lead to toxemia and disease.

A few examples:
Eating raw and cooked foods together
Bananas and Milk
Berries and Dairy

Spices and herbs are often added in Ayurvedic cooking to help make foods more compatible or to ease undesirable effects.

One example: adding cooling cilantro to hot spicy food can help it to be digested.
